Sun Damaged Skin Advice by Dr. Obagi

Obagi&rej;Nu-Derm® Medical Products' system components are beneficial in treating sun damage by exfoliating away damaged skin layers, repairing damaged DNA at the cellular level, and renewing healthy skin cells.

ZO Skin Health™ can assist in treating mild sun damage, without experiencing irritation and exfoliation.

Nu-Derm®, along with other modalities, such as laser treatments or Obagi Blue Peel® can be effective for treating severe sun damage.

Protection from the sun is important. Sun screen daily is recommended when going outdoors.

In some instances, Obagi-C® Rx can improve mild discoloration from sun exposure.

Skin Disease requires medical consultation and proper treatment from a qualified health care professional or dermatologist. Delay of treatment may result in skin damage. If you have a history of long-term sun exposure and have lesions that appear suspicious or do not heal, or have used any over the counter product for more than one month to treat a lesion, and have seen no improvement, Dr. Obagi recommends you seek medical care.
