Rosacea Skin Care Advice by Dr. Obagi


The way in which Dr. Obagi treats rosacea is dependent upon the appearance of the skin and the stage of rosacea. For milder cases of rosacea, where there may only be mild inflammation and no acne-type lesions, Dr. Obagi may recommend the Obagi Rosaclear® system. Increased sebum irritates the skin, causing inflammation and sensitivity.


Rosaclear® System

This system contains 3 components, each of which are used AM and PM.

Sun protection must be added every AM. Any of Dr. Obagi® Medical's sun protection products are appropriate for use with the Rosaclear® system:

My program using Nu-Derm® and ZO Skin Health™ systems:

  • Step 1: Cleansing AM and PM with:
  • 2 - 3 times per week, or daily, as tolerated.
  • Step 3: Te-Pads by ZO Skin Health™ AM and PM
  • Step 6: Sun protection every AM using:
  • Mix 1/2 - 1 gram Complex A and 1/2 gram Blender® and rub in until cObagi® Medical's Productsletely vanished.
  • Step 8: TO REDUCE IRRITATION AS NEEDED:
