Recommendations for acne skin care are based upon the severity of acne, presence of discoloration, age of patient, and probability of scarring with acne. The most effective treatment for acne is a combination of Nu-Derm^® and ZO Skin Health™ products to clean the pores, reduce surface bacteria, diminish scarring, and rejuvenate the skin.

There are 2 distinct programs for acne.

For ADULTS, or those with acne scarring:

• Step 1: Nu-Derm^® Foaming Gel AM and PM.

• Wash face for one full minute with tepid or cold water. It takes one minute to remove all the surface oil and debris.

• Step 2: Exfoliating Polish from ZO Skin Health™ AM or PM.

• Apply a small amount to wet face after washing and gently massage into the skin for one minute. Rinse and pat skin dry.

• Step 3: Nu-Derm^® Toner AM and PM.

• Apply to full face using a cotton ball.

• Step 4: Te-Pads from ZO Skin Health™ AM and PM.

• Rub pad over entire face. Some tingling may be experienced and is considered normal. May use on back and chest if affected with acne.

• Step 5: Nu-Derm Clear^® if skin discoloration exists.

• **May discontinue when pigmentation problems resolve

• Step 6: Nu-Derm Exfoderm^® every AM.

• Apply 1/2 or 1 gram

• Step 7: Complex A) + Nu-Derm Blender^® every PM.

• Mix ½ - 1 gram Complex A with ½ gram Blender^® and massage into skin until vanished.

• Step 8: Sun Protection every AM using Nu-Derm^® Healthy Skin 35 SPF or Oclipse by ZO Skin Health™.

For ADOLESCENTS, or those with minor acne:

• Step 1: CLENZIderm M.D™. Foaming Cleanser AM and PM.

• Wash skin for one full minute to remove all surface oil and debris.

• Step 2: Exfoliating Polish from ZO Skin Health™ AM or PM.

• Apply a small amount to wet face after washing and gently massage into the skin for one minute. Rinse and pat skin dry.

• Step 3: CLENZIderm M.D™ Pore Therapy AM and PM.

• Apply to cotton ball and rub into skin.

• Step 4: CLENZIderm M.D.^® Serum Gel AM.

• Apply a thin coat to clean skin. Caution: may bleach fabric.

• Step 5: Sun Protection every AM using Nu-Derm^® Healthy Skin 35 SPF or Oclipse by ZO Skin Health™.

For COMFORT as needed you may add:

• Ommerse™ Daily Renewal Crème by ZO Skin Health™ in the AM after Nu-Derm Exfoderm^® OR after CLENZIderm M.D.^® Serum Gel
• Add Ommerse™ Overnight Recovery Crème by ZO Skin Health™ in the PM after Complex A & Nu-Derm Blender^®

To STOP skin reaction cObagi^® Medical's Productsletely, stop Nu-Derm Exfoderm^®, Complex A & Nu-Derm Blender^®, or CLENZIderm M.D™ components and use Nu-Derm Action^® and Tolereen^® sparingly.

**These products will slow skin repair, so should only be used sparingly and for a short period.
